Photography

I've been interested in photography for a while now my problem is a lack of hardware. The best camera I have is the one on my Nexus S and it's not great. I've been looking at several different models but I can't face buying a simple "point and shoot" when the results won't be that much better than my phone but to get a proper digital SLR will require a much bigger investment.

I'm more interested in digital photography than the older kind (do we call that analogue?) I've done some proper development before and I didn't enjoy get the weird chemicals all over my hands. My interest is more in the capturing of the moment or scene rather than the post processing.

I'm hoping to find something faulty on eBay I can repair.
